BCA’S GO FOR PINK! Dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness Month

GoForPink is a series of events Breast Cancer Alliance (BCA) dedicates to October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month in collaboration with the Town of Greenwich and many of its merchants. On October 5th, GoForPink will bring the local community together for a special day of shopping, dining and educational forums in the Town of Greenwich to raise awareness and critical funds towards eradicating breast cancer and to further support BCA’s mission: the funding of innovative research, education, support and affordable screening for underserved women. Participating merchants will be making a donation to BCA, with some extending their generosity throughout October with in-store, online sales and donations of items to BCA’s annual benefit luncheon. WHEN: Thursday, October 5, 2017 with some participants extending activities throughout the month. WHAT: A day of shopping, dining and educational events dedicated to Breast Cancer Awareness Month that bring the local community together to raise awareness and fund support for BCA’s mission. WHERE: Greenwich Avenue area in the Town of Greenwich, CT SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: OCTOBER 5, 2017 9:00 am BCA flag raising at Greenwich Town Hall with First Selectman Peter Tesei and Dr. Barbara Ward, Director of Breast Care Services, Greenwich Hospital. 10:00 am Breakfast and conversation at Richards with Dr. Marisa Weiss, chief medical officer, founder, and visionary behind Breastcancer.org, the world's most utilized resource for expert medical and personal information on breast health and breast cancer. She is the author of four critically acclaimed books on this important topic. ALL DAY: Shopping, dining and events at participating stores and restaurants.
